Raihan Rugs hires, trains and directly pays women weavers in Afghanistan. Woven from Ghazni highland wool — hand-knotted at thousands of knots a day, then washed and sun-dried to bring out the wool’s natural lustre. Curated in our Boston atelier. Because it is made entirely by hand, small irregularities aren’t flaws — they’re the fingerprint of a genuine handmade piece.

What makes this a tribal rug?
It is woven by hand in a nomadic tradition where motifs are carried from memory, so every piece is unique in its balance of pattern and colour.
How do I care for a wool rug?
Vacuum without a beater bar, rotate every 6–12 months for even wear, and blot spills promptly. Wool is naturally soil- and stain-resistant.
