Do you ever bring rugs to my apartment?+
Yes, for Manhattan-area clients with serious purchase intent ($5,000+ pieces), we offer in-home consultation — we bring 2–4 curated rugs to your apartment for in-context viewing. Scheduling typically requires 7–14 days lead time. This service is also extended to verified trade members year-round.
Can you deliver to a 5th-floor walk-up or pre-war co-op?+
Yes. Hand-knotted and flat-woven rugs roll, so even a large rug travels up a walk-up stair or in a pre-war elevator without harm to the wool. Send us your stair, door and elevator measurements and your building's delivery rules before the rug ships, and we'll confirm it will fit and plan the delivery with you. Every order ships with insured U.S. delivery, from $45 and complimentary on rugs $3,500 and up.
Do you work with New York interior designers?+
Yes. Verified New York interior designers and architectural firms are welcome in our trade program. Trade benefits: wholesale-tier pricing, NET-30 terms, complimentary memo samples, and dedicated project concierge. Apply through our Trade Program — applications reviewed within one business day.
How does pricing work for the New York market?+
Pricing is the same nationally. Our current collection runs from about $200 for small kilims to about $6,500 for large Mamluks; Oushaks start at $1,200 and Mamluks at $1,550. Trade pricing applies to verified NYC designers. Delivery to all five boroughs is insured U.S. delivery, from $45 and complimentary on rugs $3,500 and up.
What rug should I choose for an Upper East Side pre-war?+
For a classic Upper East Side pre-war parlor (10' ceilings, original moldings, parquet), we typically recommend a soft Oushak in muted ivory, faded blue, or aged gold — or, for a more formal room, a Persian-style medallion. A 9×12 anchors the seating group; a larger parlor may need a 10×14. Send us the floor plan and palette references.
What if the rug doesn't work once it's in my apartment?+
Our 14-day home trial exists exactly for this. Receive the rug and see it under your light, against your furniture, in your actual apartment. Live with it for 14 days. If it isn't right, we arrange the return pickup at no cost and refund the rug in full.
Are you actually based in New York?+
No — we're based in Greater Boston. We deliver to New York with insured U.S. delivery, but we don't maintain a Manhattan showroom. This keeps overhead off your purchase price.
