Raihan Rugs hires, trains and directly pays women weavers in Afghanistan. Woven from hand-spun highland wool — hand-knotted at thousands of knots a day, then washed and sun-dried to bring out the wool’s natural lustre. Curated in our Boston atelier. Because it is made entirely by hand, small irregularities aren’t flaws — they’re the fingerprint of a genuine handmade piece.

What is an Oushak rug?
Oushak rugs trace to western Anatolia and are prized for soft, luminous palettes and large-scale floral or medallion designs, hand-knotted here in Afghan Ghazni wool.
How do I care for a wool rug?
Vacuum without a beater bar, rotate every 6–12 months for even wear, and blot spills promptly. Wool is naturally soil- and stain-resistant.
