Oushak Rugs

Oushak rugs are the most coveted Anatolian weaving tradition — sun-faded palettes, large-scale floral medallions, generous negative space, and a relaxed elegance that flatters both traditional and modern interiors. The drawing is loose and gestural; the construction is honest. Oushaks age the way a good linen jacket ages — they get better.

Every Oushak in this collection is hand-knotted in northern Afghan workshops using hand-spun wool, vegetable and low-impact synthetic dyes (disclosed honestly), the Ghiordes (Turkish) knot, and a cotton foundation. Knot density typically runs 100–140 KPSI. Each piece is one of one. Each is reviewed in our Boston atelier for structural integrity, color authenticity, and weave consistency before listing.

Best rooms: Living rooms (especially with neutral upholstery), primary bedrooms, open-plan kitchens with adjacent dining. The Oushak's muted palette works with almost anything.

Sizing: 8'×10' for standard living rooms, 9'×12' for great rooms or open plans, queen bedrooms with the bed centered. Runners 6'–16'+ for halls and kitchens.
