Do you ever bring rugs to my apartment?+
Yes, for Manhattan-area clients with serious purchase intent ($5,000+ pieces), we offer in-home consultation — we bring 2–4 curated rugs to your apartment for in-context viewing. Scheduling typically requires 7–14 days lead time. This service is also extended to verified trade members year-round.
Can you deliver to a 5th-floor walk-up or pre-war co-op?+
Yes. Our white-glove delivery team has carried 12×15 rugs up West Village walk-up brownstones and threaded oversized pieces through pre-war elevators and service entrances. We coordinate building access with your co-op or condo in advance, measure freight elevators, and confirm doorman protocols before arrival.

How does pricing work for the New York market?+
Pricing is consistent nationally — current inventory runs from approximately $1,100 (smaller runners and 5×8 tribal pieces) to $8,000+ (oversized fine Oushak and Mamluk, select antique Persians). Most NYC living-room sizes (8×10 to 9×12) fall in the $2,800–$5,500 range. Trade pricing applies to verified NYC designers. Free white-glove delivery to all five boroughs.
What rug should I choose for an Upper East Side pre-war?+
For a classic Upper East Side pre-war parlor (10' ceilings, original moldings, parquet), we typically recommend a soft Oushak in muted ivory, faded blue, or aged gold — or for a more formal room, an antique Persian medallion. A 9×12 anchors the seating group; for a classic 7 with a 14' parlor we often go to 10×14. Send us the floor plan and palette references.
What if the rug doesn't work once it's in my apartment?+
Our 14-day at-home approval period exists exactly for this. Receive the rug, live with it under your light, against your furniture, in your actual apartment. If it doesn't suit, return within 14 days for a full refund (less return shipping, typically $150–$400 for NYC return).
Are you actually based in New York?+
No — we're based in Boston. We ship white-glove to New York more than to any market outside Boston itself, but we don't maintain a Manhattan showroom. This keeps overhead off your purchase price.
